Rosy-faced love bird looking for love, Gilbert AZ. Probably the best-known and most recognized and popular lovebird species here in the United States and maybe worldwide. Sizable feral populations occur in Phoenix, Arizona, and the surrounding cites. the Rosy-faced Lovebird population in the greater Phoenix area has increased to present levels around an estimated 2500 birds or more.The intelligence of love birds is equivalent to that of larger parrots even though, most never learn to talk, but are able to mimic and imitate noises and whistles. The original Rosy or Peach face Love bird has a green plumage, a peach-colored face, a blue rump, grey feet, and a horn-colored bill. Several color mutations exist including Creminos, Lutinos, Orange-faced, Pieds, Fallows, Whitefaced, Violets and Cinnamons.
